Intro to Effective Altruism Fellowship (Fall 2025)
Our core goal with this program is to introduce you to some of the principles and thinking tools behind effective altruism. We hope that these tools can help you as you think through how you can best help the world. The point of the program is not to tell you what to believe or what matters most, but instead present you with ideas and arguments to help you think critically about your own beliefs.

Weekly Content Overview
Discussion Format
Each session of the program has a section of Required Materials, which you are expected to complete in advance of the weekly meeting to help you get the most out of the program and give a better experience to your peers.
We think that the Required Materials take most people around 1 hour to get through. These weekly discussion group sessions help solidify the insights from the readings, and are facilitated by experienced alumni.
Application Process
Interested participants need to fill out the application. Please spend less than 15 minutes on the required questions, this is not meant to be a long application! We may ask you to do a quick interview to help get to know you better.
If you have questions about anything here, or about the program in general, join our slack and ask away!
Who are we?
We are help students think about how they can use their careers to do good: This involves running discussion groups and connecting people to career/internship opportunities in the broader EA community. In the near future, we plan on providing research and project opportunities that students can be a part of here at UT.
